Job Summary

We are seeking a charismatic, highly organized, and sales-minded Tattoo Sales Counter Person to act as the face of our busy studio. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for clients, managing the daily flow of walk-ins, consultations, and scheduled appointments. Your primary goal is to provide exceptional customer service, match clients with the perfect artist, upsell studio merchandise and aftercare products, and keep our studio operating efficiently.

The ideal candidate has a strong passion for body art, excels in a high-energy retail environment, and possesses top-tier multitasking abilities. We need a reliable Sales Counter Person for the graveyard shift from 10pm to 10am.

Duties & Responsibilities

Client Experience: Greet walk-ins and scheduled clients with an enthusiastic and welcoming demeanor, establishing a positive shop environment.
Sales & Consultations: Educate potential clients on pricing structures, assist in the initial tattoo consultation process, and actively promote custom bookings.
Schedule Management: Coordinate, book, and confirm appointments across multiple artists
Intake & Compliance: Verify government-issued photo IDs to ensure age compliance and guide clients through completion of liability waivers and digital consent forms.
POS & Cash Handling: Securely process retail transactions, deposits, and final tattoo payments using our Point of Sale (POS) system.
Retail & Inventory: Upsell and explain tattoo aftercare kits, apparel, and studio merchandise.
Studio Maintenance: Maintain a pristine, organized front lobby, and uphold studio health and safety standards.

Qualifications & Skills

Experience: 2-5 years of experience in retail sales, reception, or a hospitality front-desk environment. (Prior experience working inside a tattoo or piercing studio is a major plus!)
Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a natural ability to build rapport with diverse clienteles.
Technical Proficiency: Comfortable learning and navigating appointment scheduling.
Multitasking: Proven ability to stay calm and organized under pressure during high-traffic weekend or evening shifts.
Industry Knowledge: Basic understanding of tattoo styles and the healing process to adequately explain aftercare directions.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
