Travel Registered Nurse ER Job

Overview Travel Registered Nurse – Emergency Room in Rochester, New York. This 17-week travel assignment is for a fast-paced adult ED at a Level I trauma center with a high annual patient volume. Start date is 09/14/2026, with a rotating 12-hour shift (3x12s) and floating to support patient flow, including weekends, holidays, on-call and callback responsibilities. Weekly pay ranges from $2,093 to $2,207. This assignment requires prior travel ER experience and is not designed for first-time travel nurses. Key Highlights

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct, evidence-based nursing care to adult ED patients, including rapid assessment, stabilization and ongoing monitoring
• Manage telemetry, administer medications, perform procedures within scope, and support resuscitation efforts as part of the ED team
• Collaborate with ED physicians, trauma teams, and ancillary staff to optimize patient flow, throughput, safety and throughput documentation
• Document all patient interactions and care accurately in the medical record; communicate changes to the care team promptly
• Assist with border-patient triage and disposition planning; provide patient and family education upon discharge or transfer

Requirements

• NY RN license, active and in good standing
• BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association); NIHSS certification
• Minimum 2 years ED/ER experience with telemetry
• Prior travel ER experience required
• Not accepting first-time travel ER assignments; ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced ED environment
