Biomedical Equipment Technician 1

GE HealthCare seeks a Biomedical Equipment Technician to evaluate, diagnose, and repair medical equipment at hospital customer sites in the Tampa Bay area. The role involves planned maintenance, safety inspections, and collaboration with teammates to deliver service excellence.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and diagnose biomedical equipment issues and implement repairs under supervision
- Perform planned maintenance and safety/environmental inspections on customer equipment
- Assist experienced technicians on basic and complex repairs as assigned
- Maintain customer communications and documentation of all repair actions
- Ensure proper care, calibration, and inventory of tools, spares, and test equipment
Requirements
- Analytical and communication skills to explain technical issues clearly to customers
- Valid driver's license and willingness to maintain it
- Availability for after-hours and rotating on-call coverage including weekends
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S.; no visa sponsorship available
- Pass background check, drug screening, and comply with customer access policies including immunizations
