Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an Outpatient/Acute Care position requiring DPT or Master's degree and prior travel experience.

Details

• Primarily outpatient clinic setting with monthly acute care weekend coverage
• Day shift schedule: 5x8 hours, Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM-5:30 PM
• Weekend coverage required once per month in the acute setting
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• May be required to work one holiday per 13-week contract in rotation with staff

Requirements

• Virginia PT license required if applicable, may apply immediately upon offer
• BLS certification required
• DPT or Master's degree required
• Outpatient clinic and acute care experience required
• Prior travel experience preferred, ideally 1 year
• Skilled in orthopedic conditions including ankle sprains, DDD, knee injuries, low back pain, and post-op cervical/shoulder/spinal surgery
• Experience with gait training, strength testing, vital sign monitoring, and assistive/adaptive devices
• Documentation experience including evaluations, plans of care, and discharge summaries

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include patient assessment, treatment planning, and home exercise program development
• Facility allows one call-off shift per two weeks
• First-time travelers will not be considered
• Local candidates within 100 miles of the facility are not accepted
• Previous employees must have a minimum one-year break before returning as a traveler
• RTO requests must be submitted upfront with the application
