Registered Nurse - Med-Surg Telemetry

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

12-hour night shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM, with weekends and holidays as needed.

Job Description

Join our dynamic team on a 33-bed med-surg floor equipped with 16 telemetry monitors. Our unit strives to maintain a patient-to-nurse ratio of 6:1, ensuring optimal care for our diverse patient population, including orthopedic, bariatric, and cardiac care patients.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients on the med-surg floor.
• Monitor patients using telemetry equipment, including reading monitor strips.
• Administer medications and assist with various treatments as required.
• Work collaboratively with healthcare team members, including CCU staff and supervisors.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current BLS certification is required; ACLS certification is preferred but not mandatory.
• Active RN license for practice.
• Experience in med-surg or telemetry nursing is preferred.
