Occupational Therapist
This is a contract position.
Varies between 8:00 AM and 4:30 PM with 8-hour shifts, 4 days a week. Requires 4 weekend shifts every 4 weeks and availability for 1 summer holiday.
The Occupational Therapist will work within the acute care department, providing support for a wide variety of medical and surgical diagnoses, including ICU patients, stroke/neurological cases, orthopedics, and general debility. This position involves evaluating and treating patients based on physician orders throughout the hospital.
Evaluate patient needs and develop appropriate treatment plans.
Provide therapeutic interventions consistent with patient diagnoses.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in Cerner.
Support acute care patients from admission to discharge.
Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in occupational therapy.
Active Georgia Occupational Therapist license.
NBCOT Certification.
American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification.
