Data Science Specialist

Role: Data Science Lead (Fraud / Financial Services) Location: San Jose / Bay Area (Onsite) Role Overview: We are looking for a hands-on Data Science Lead to drive end-to-end delivery of data science and data engineering projects within the financial services domain. The role involves leading a small team, partnering with stakeholders, and building scalable data/ML solutions on large transactional datasets. Key Responsibilities: Lead delivery of data science & data engineering projects end-to-end Manage and mentor a team of data scientists/engineers Design scalable data pipelines and ML solutions Build and deploy models (fraud, risk, segmentation, forecasting) Write/review production-level Python and SQL Collaborate with stakeholders and translate business needs into solutions Ensure data governance, quality, and compliance Key Requirements: Relevant years in Data Science (financial services/payments preferred) Strong Python & SQL (mandatory) Experience in ML modeling (predictive, risk, anomaly detection) Prior team leadership & client-facing experience Exposure to AWS and modern data engineering practices (preferred) We are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
