The Restorative Specialist will support both school‑day and after‑school activities. The position requires daily mentoring and empowerment of students and assistance with day‑to‑day school operations, specifically behavior management and student engagement. Position Details 10‑month salaried position including five additional professional development and/or school‑specific days. Full‑time, 40‑hour work week (8.5 hours per day with 30‑minute lunch). Vacation, sick, and personal time leave; additional benefits include retirement and life insurance. Restorative Specialists may be scheduled during school vacations and can use PTO with approval. Attendance at district‑wide Restorative PD and observed district holidays. District reserves right to change school assignments. Responsibilities Work with students and their families in a professional and caring manner. Provide daily support with day‑to‑day operations: hallway duty, lunch duty, student transition assistance, attendance, and teacher support. Address student behaviors and provide real‑time assistance when needed. Serve as a mentor to high‑school students. Monitor after‑school student behaviors when applicable. Model de‑escalation techniques and apply restorative practices daily. Attend school‑based extracurricular activities to provide support. Participate in district professional learning as indicated by the school principal and head of restorative. Enter disciplinary data daily using the school’s data entry system and protocol. Assist teachers in digitizing the school’s discipline data. Complete onboarding/training hours. Perform any other duties deemed appropriate by the administrative team. Compensation Full‑time contract with annualized salary of $50,000.00 – $53,000.00, prorated based on start date. Qualifications Minimum three years of experience mentoring, coaching, or working with school‑aged students in youth organizations. Experience working directly with CF youth preferred. CPi trained preferred or willingness to be trained in proper techniques and strategies. Trained in de‑escalation techniques and restorative practices or willingness to be trained.
