Alector
Alector seeks a Scientist in Biology to design and execute in vitro studies and analytical assays for neurodegenerative disease therapeutics. The role involves working with cellular models, processing samples, and generating data to support pharmacokinetics, efficacy, safety, and mechanism-of-action studies across collaborative teams.
Responsibilities
- Design and execute in vitro studies evaluating potential therapeutics for neurodegeneration
- Develop and run analytical assays to assess PK/PD, efficacy, safety, and mechanism-of-action
- Work with advanced cellular models and process in vivo and in vitro samples
- Generate high-quality experimental data supporting preclinical and proof-of-concept studies
- Collaborate with Biology, ADPE, and Preclinical teams to advance therapeutic programs
Requirements
- Experience designing and executing in vitro studies and analytical assays
- Proficiency with advanced cellular models and sample processing techniques
- Knowledge of pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, and efficacy assessment
- Strong scientific curiosity and experimental design skills
- Ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams
