Description

American Traveler is hiring an Electrophysiology Tech for a Magnet-designated, Level III Trauma teaching hospital, requiring 1-2 years of specialty experience and BLS/ACLS certification.

Details

• Short term acute care hospital setting within the Electrophysiology Tech unit
• Uses Affera PFA systems and Biosense Webster RFA
• 4x10 hour day shifts, Monday through Thursday, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
• Will work every 5th weekend
• On-call requirement of short call (4 hours at the end of a shift) once per week
• May float within scope of practice to meet facility needs, including to an affiliate hospital nearby
• Open to accommodating block schedules
• Charting system is Epic/Excellian

Requirements

• 1-2 years of experience in Electrophysiology required
• Current BLS and ACLS certification required
• ARRT R, CCI RCES, CCI RCIS, and Fluoro Permit preferred
• Community hospital experience required
• Epic/Excellian charting experience preferred
• Pending license accepted; license required if applicable
• Skilled in EKG lead placement, recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias, room circulator duties, and sterile field maintenance
• Experience with EP studies, baseline measurements, cardiac ablation, conduction studies, and insertion/programming of AICDs and pacemakers
• LAA closure experience preferred
• 1 supervisor reference required for consideration

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include procedural support for cardiac electrophysiology cases including ablations, device implants, and diagnostic studies
• Facility is Magnet-designated, a teaching hospital, and a Level III Trauma center
• Scrubs provided by the unit
• First-time travelers accepted
• Local candidates accepted only for Radiology positions; a 100-mile radius restriction applies to all other positions, including this one
• Returning staff must have a 3-month gap since last worked as a Perm employee (Staff or Per Diem)
• RTO ideally limited to no more than 5 days during the assignment
