Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to provide therapeutic services under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT). This role involves helping patients develop and regain functional independence based on individualized therapy plans, while adhering to state and federal regulations as well as facility guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement therapy interventions as outlined in the Occupational Therapist's plan of care.
• Document patient progress accurately and in a timely manner.
• Assist in educating patients and their families about the therapeutic process and goals.
• Communicate patient status regularly to the supervising Occupational Therapist.
• Comply with all safety, infection control, and regulatory protocols.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Possess an active state COTA license or demonstrate the ability to obtain one.
• Strong teamwork and patient care skills are essential.
