Sr. Regional Oncology Specialist - Central California

Abbott seeks a Senior Regional Oncology Specialist for Central California to drive utilization of oncology diagnostics products including OncoExTra, OncoDetect, and RiskGuard. The role combines field-based sales strategy, account development, and clinical expertise to maximize product adoption in assigned territories while supporting corporate objectives.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement territory plans to maximize utilization of Abbott cancer diagnostics products while managing budget
- Conduct regular field-based calls and meetings with healthcare providers to meet or exceed sales objectives
- Develop new accounts and deepen relationships within existing high-priority accounts
- Maintain in-depth understanding of disease states, competitive landscape, and clinical research in oncology
- Collaborate with managed care, reimbursement specialists, patient groups, and providers to ensure product access
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in sales, business management, marketing, science, or related field
- 5+ years sales experience with strong track record selling complex medical oncology or diagnostics products
- 3+ years medical sales in specialty areas including buy & bill, medical devices, or clinical specialties
- 3+ years selling experience in highly competitive environments
- Demonstrated clinical and scientific expertise in oncology
- Strong territory and account management skills
- Ability to travel 75% of working time, including overnight and weekend travel
