Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Embark on a rewarding contract role as a part-time Speech Language Pathologist supporting an Extended School Year summer program located near Manlius, NY. Key Qualifications:
- Current NY licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist
- NY Teacher of Students with Speech and Language Disabilities (TSSLD) Certification required
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Prior experience in school-based or pediatric speech-language pathology settings preferred
- Familiarity with evaluation, IEP development, and therapy delivery in educational environments
- Collaborative approach with teachers, staff, and families to ensure the best outcomes for students
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech and language therapy services to a diverse pediatric population within the school setting
- Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans aligned with IEP goals
- Assess, monitor, and document progress for students across multiple caseloads and locations
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to IEP planning and progress reviews
- Support communication skills development and educational engagement for students with varying needs
- Foster a supportive environment for students, promoting self-confidence and functional communication
