Job Title: Labor and Delivery Nurse - Traveler Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor and Delivery, Post Partum Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-hour night shift with rotating weekends and call rotation Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Current RN license in Colorado or compact to practice in Colorado Certifications: AHA BLS, ACLS, NRP, STABLE, Flu Vaccine Required Must-Have: RN Charge experience Description: We are seeking an experienced Labor and Delivery Traveler Nurse to join our Family Birth Place Team. The role involves L&D with OR, PACU, and postpartum care, providing couplet care. We manage approximately 60 deliveries a month, caring for babies 32 weeks and up. Our team is composed of a fun group of staff committed to evidence-based care, providing the best experience for our clients. Candidates must be team players who combine compassionate care with clinical expertise. The organization has a history of excellence in providing a compassionate, patient-centered experience. We are preparing for an increase in deliveries, with projections of over 80 deliveries per month in the coming months, necessitating an increase in RN staffing. Candidates should be ready to start with limited requests for time off. We prioritize applicants who are prepared to contribute to our mission of providing connected care to our community, showcasing advanced scope, technology, and expertise. The schedule consists of working 12-hour night shifts with rotating weekends. Call rotation is typically one 12-hour shift every six weeks, but this may vary. We require a current Colorado RN license or compact license, along with BLS and ACLS certifications. Additionally, NRP and STABLE certifications are necessary, and proof of a flu vaccine is required or an agreement to obtain one by 10/31/25. Candidates must reside at least 75 miles away from the facility to comply with the traveler's location requirements.
