Nursing Clerk, Emergency Dept - North
Hendrick Medical Center
Job Summary
Responsible for performing a variety of clerical duties relating to the updating and organizing of information on a nursing unit; coordinating work within the unit; reporting pertinent information to ED team members; providers and nursing leadership as appropriate; and responding to inquiries and requests from nursing staff and physicians.
Nurse Clerks have a professional obligation to participate in committee activities; surveys and improvement initiatives.
Job Requirements
Minimum Education
High School or equivalent.
Minimum Work Experience
No previous experience.
Required Licenses/Certifications
- Completion of HMC Nursing clerk course as it is offered.
- EMR training and access (provided by HMC) prior to completion of unit orientation.
- Unit-based orientation.
Required Skills; Knowledge; and Abilities
- Ability to maintain professional appearance and decorum at all times.
- Ability to handle confidential information.
