The Mississippi Department of Education is seeking to employ an Education Program Manager in the office of Child Nutrition. Serve as the director of the Child Nutrition Statewide Purchasing System. Fifth-level Supervisory Position accountable for the coordination and administration of the academic and vocational programs at a state institution. Positions at this level may also be accountable for directing, overseeing, and coordinating the functions of providing technical assistance, safety plan development, safety training, and oversight of school transportation programs. Employee supervision includes hire recommendations; training; work planning, assignments, and review; and performance assessment, coaching, and progressive discipline. (This is a NON-STATE, TIME LIMITED position). Preferred Qualifications Typically requires a Master's Degree and 6 years of experience. -- Agency Preferred Qualifications: Experience with purchasing, solicitations, contract management, and/or child nutrition programs preferred.
