Assembler - 2nd Shift

Join us and help run what runs the world.This position reports to: Production SupervisorThe work model for the role is: Onsite, Jonesboro, ArkansasThis position works 10 hour shifts Monday - Thursday, with OT as needed to meet customer demand.Your role and responsibilities:Safely complete tasks and participate in team safety programsPosition parts according to unit being assembled or follow blueprintFastens parts together with bolts, washers, screws, speed, clips, rivets, or other fastenersRemoves small quantities of metal with hand files and scrapers to produce close fit between partsOperate hand tools, small presses, punch presses, or riveting machines to assist in assembly operationHand packs and seals assembled fittings and parts into containers for shippingOther duties as assignedQualifications for the role:High School or equivalentAble to read 2 or 3 syllable words and recognize similarities/differences between words and/or numbersAble to printAble to add, subtract 2 digit numbers and multiply/divide by 10 or 100 accuratelyNote: Candidates must have a work authorization that permits them to work for ABB in the U.S. (Include on postings for roles that will not offer sponsorship).Why ABB?ABB Installation Products Division (formerly Thomas&Betts), helps manage the connection, protection and distribution of electrical power from source to socket.
