Job Description
The Process and Product Development Engineer advances manufacturing processes and product designs from concept through production. The role combines product design, process development, engineering change management, and cross-functional team leadership.
Responsibilities include:
Process development and trouble shooting.
Leading Lean continuous improvement activities in production
New product development to meet customer specifications, including CAD design and drawings.
Coordinating product and process modifications with OEMs and internal teams – engineering change system management (ECR)
Coordination of sample creation
Participation in the company safety team to improve our processes to protect our associates.
Assist in evaluation of sample products for fit, form, and function.
Active team member in the creation of the future state of our factory
Minimum qualifications include:
Bachelor’s degree in an engineering field of study
Process improvement and troubleshooting experience, utilizing Lean Manufacturing methods.
English proficiency
ERP familiarity
A willingness and eagerness to learn about new processes and products.
Preferred experience includes:
Product development and validation experience
Automotive OEM project management experience
Understanding of carpet manufacturing processes
CATIA, SolidWorks, AutoCAD experience/training
