Research Data Analyst

Overview Kansas State University is hiring a Research Data Analyst to support research activities in power systems. The role involves assisting with software development, simulation setup, data processing, code testing, benchmarking, documentation, and preparation of research deliverables while supporting AI applications in power systems through data analytics and software prototyping. Responsibilities Assist in software development, simulation setup, and data processing for power systems research. Support AI applications including large language model development and data engineering. Perform code testing, benchmarking, and prepare documentation and research deliverables. Collaborate on documentation, reporting, and dissemination of research findings. Qualifications Required bachelor’s degree with three years of relevant experience; quantitative and statistical expertise needed. Preferred skills: Python programming, SQL, experience with large language models, and data visualization tools such as Pandas, Power BI, or Tableau. Experience with Git and collaborative software development is advantageous. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively. Interest in artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, or power systems research is preferred. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
