Clinical Director (BCBA)

Clinical DirectorThe Clinical Director is responsible for providing clinical oversight, mentorship, and support to a team of BCBAs while maintaining a reduced caseload. This role serves as the first level of clinical leadership, ensuring high quality service delivery, timely documentation, and effective problem solving across assigned cases.Clinical Oversight & Quality AssuranceReview and approve all treatment plans, reassessments, and clinical documentation prior to submission for: Clinical accuracyMedical necessityClear skill acquisition and behavior reduction programmingAlignment with assessment data and client needsEnsure all programs in CentralReach (CR): Have clear, measurable targetsInclude appropriate prompting, reinforcement, and generalization strategiesAre individualized and not templatedProvide specific, actionable feedback on reports within expected turnaround timesRequire and verify completion of revisions prior to approvalIdentify patterns of weak clinical writing or programming and address directly with BCBABCBA Supervision & SupportServe as the direct clinical support for an assigned group of BCBAsMaintain consistent availability during business hours for clinical questionsConduct structured check-ins (weekly or biweekly) that include: Caseload reviewClinical barriersHigh-risk clientsParent concernsStaff performance issuesMaintain active group communication channel (Teams/chat) to: Provide real-time guidanceShare updates and expectationsAddress team wide questionsProvide direct guidance and coaching on: Complex or high-risk cases (aggression, elopement, regression, etc.)Behavior intervention strategies and modificationsParent communication and difficult conversationsBT performance concerns impacting clinical careSupport BCBAs in clinical decision making while ensuring alignment with company standardsCompliance & Timeliness OversightActively monitor and track for assigned BCBAs: Reassessment due dates and completion statusTreatment plan submission timelinesMonthly fidelity checks completionMonthly BT check-ins completionCase Opening Review completion for new clientsFirst supervision session completion for new BTs/clientsParent training frequency and completionEnsure all required components are completed within expected timeframesFollow up directly with BCBAs on missing or overdue items with clear deadlinesHold BCBAs accountable for repeated noncomplianceIdentify trends (e.g., chronic lateness, missed requirements) and: Address directly with the BCBAEscalate to Clinical Director when patterns persistEscalation ManagementServe as the first point of contact for escalated issues, including: Clinical concerns requiring higher-level reviewGather relevant information, assess the situation, and determine appropriate next stepsProvide guidance or resolution when appropriate within role scopeEscalate to Clinical Director when: Issues involve high risk or liabilityThere is potential for dischargeStaff performance requires formal actionParent concerns cannot be resolved at the Clinical Lead levelEnsure timely follow up and documentation of all escalated concernsTraining, Mentorship & Clinical DevelopmentSupport onboarding of new BCBAs by: Reviewing initial cases and programmingEnsuring understanding of company expectations and systemsProviding early-stage feedback and supportProvide ongoing mentorship to assigned BCBAs through: Direct feedback on clinical workSkill-building in assessment, programming, and behavior interventionSupport with clinical reasoning and case conceptualizationIdentify skill gaps across the team and address through: Individual coachingGroup guidanceTraining topicsParticipate in and/or lead clinical trainings, meetings, or case discussionsCollaboration & LeadershipAttend and actively participate in leadership meetings with Clinical DirectorProvide updates on: Team performanceCompliance statusHigh-risk clientsStaff concernsSupport needsCommunicate proactively with Clinical Director regarding: Trends impacting quality or operationsStaffing or caseload concernsRisks to client care or service deliveryMaintain consistency in clinical expectations and enforcement across all assigned BCBAsModel professionalism, accountability, and clinical excellenceRole ExpectationsMaintain strong organization and follow-through across multiple BCBAs and casesBalance support with accountabilityAddress issues proactively rather than reactivelyUphold clinical quality while supporting efficiency and timelinessQualificationsActive BCBA certificationAt least 2 years' experience in a BCBA roleStrong clinical and assessment skillsDemonstrates leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilitiesAbility to manage multiple priorities and support a team effectivelyPerformance ExpectationsHigh-quality and timely review of clinical documentationConsistent communication and support to assigned BCBAsReduction in overdue reports and compliance issuesPositive team feedback and improved BCBA performanceBrightview Care is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
