Overview

We are seeking an experienced ICU Registered Nurse to provide exceptional care for critically ill patients in an acute care setting. The ideal candidate is confident in critical care nursing , ventilator management, hemodynamic monitoring, telemetry interpretation, and titrating vasoactive drips while maintaining a calm, compassionate presence at the bedside.

• Hours Per Week: 36 guaranteed hours
• Duration: 13 weeks

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,020 - $2,130
• Charting System: EPIC
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Floating: Travelers float first when needed

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of recent ICU, critical care, or acute care RN experience
• Active Illinois RN license or confirmation that the application process has been initiated
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Ability to interpret EKG strips independently
• Experience with arterial lines, central lines, and ventilated patients
• Comfort with titrating vasopressors and other vasoactive medications
• Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced ICU
• Ability to complete orientation and adapt quickly to unit workflows

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to critically ill adult patients in the ICU
• Monitor hemodynamic status and respond promptly to changes in patient condition
• Manage ventilated patients and assist with respiratory equipment troubleshooting as needed
• Titrate drips according to provider orders and patient-specific parameters
• Interpret telemetry and EKG strips accurately and act on findings
• Maintain clear, timely documentation in EPIC
• Collaborate with intensivists, charge nurses, respiratory therapy, and the broader care team
• Float to lower levels of care when assigned and provide safe, flexible support
