Position Details Position Location: Retail Location Department: D2C Reports To: Store Leader Job Classification: On‑site FLSA Status: Non‑Exempt Pay Rate: $20.40-$25/hr Associate Responsibilities Cultivate an environment of genuine consumer connection by focusing on delivering exceptional, engaging, efficient, and personalized consumer experiences. Support the Store Leader and Assistant Store Leader in telling the Carhartt story at the retail store level through consumer experience initiatives, visual merchandising, and visual standards. Foster a positive, collaborative team environment to help associates bring their best to work each day. Provide training, coaching, and feedback to associates, ensuring positive growth throughout their associate journey. Execute store controls and operating standards (policy and procedure administration) to help the store be profitable and provide a safe work environment. Communicate operational data, including product mix, trends, local competition, and events. Support revenue‑building strategies set by corporate and monitor performance metrics to achieve or exceed store goals. Assist with external partnerships and event promotions for the benefit of the store. Support execution of community engagement events and promote local community engagement. Participate in recruiting and identifying talent for all positions. Own individual development and professional growth. Required Education HS Diploma or GED required; College degree preferred. Required Skills And Experience 1 year of supervisory experience in a retail environment preferred. Experience in sales, customer service, merchandising, inventory control, and loss prevention. Knowledge of staffing, coaching, counseling, training, and development. Excellent organization, prioritization, and communication skills. Exceptional teamwork and collaboration skills. PC skills: POS systems and Microsoft Office. Physical Requirements And Working Conditions Typical retail environment; extended periods standing, typing on a computer. Moderate lifting (30–40 lbs). Retail hours. National travel required (up to 5%). On‑site location: work on site for all work‑related activities. Carhartt is a tobacco‑free workplace.
