Job Title: Group Training Coach / Personal Trainer (Contractor) Company: Michigan Hy-Fit Athletics Location: Auburn Hills, MI (On-site)
About the Role Michigan Hy-Fit Athletics is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Group Training Coach and Personal Trainer to join our team as an independent contractor. If you are passionate about helping clients reach their fitness goals, have strong energy for group classes, and excel at personalized 1-on-1 coaching, we want you on our floor.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and lead dynamic, scalable group fitness classes and individualized personal training sessions.
- Ensure a safe, supportive, and motivating environment for all members.
- Manage client scheduling and strictly enforce our 24-hour cancellation policy.
- Ensure all new clients have completed and signed the mandatory liability waiver prior to their first training session.
- Build strong relationships with members to promote retention and foster a positive community culture.
Qualifications
- Current nationally recognized Personal Training Certification (e.g., NASM, ACE, ISSA, ACSM).
- Current CPR/AED certification.
- Proven experience leading both group fitness classes and personal training sessions.
- Strong communication, punctuality, and client management skills.
- Ability to operate as an independent contractor (1099).
Compensation
- Highly competitive, tier-based compensation ranging from $85 to $95 per session.
