We’re seeking a highly skilled Heavy Equipment Technician to join our growing team in Charleston. What You’ll Do
- Inspect, maintain, and repair a wide range of heavy equipment, including wheel loaders, excavators, bulldozers, and forklifts
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, brake, and transmission systems
- Utilize manufacturer diagnostic tools and software to identify and resolve issues quickly
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance to maximize equipment uptime and safety
- Ensure all equipment meets DOT, OSHA, and company safety standards
- Maintain required certifications (brake inspections, annual inspections, A/C systems, etc.)
- Manage work orders, track maintenance activities, and assist with parts sourcing and scheduling
- Coordinate purchase orders (POs) with regional fleet teams

✅ What You Bring
- 3–5+ years of experience as a heavy equipment technician
- Strong working knowledge of hydraulics, brakes, suspension, and electrical systems
- Proven ability to diagnose and repair equipment efficiently and independently
- Experience with diagnostic software and modern repair tools
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in outdoor environments and varying weather conditions
- Comfortable with physical tasks including standing, bending, and kneeling for extended periods
