Senior Cost Accountant

Our client, a well-established, industry-leading manufacturing company that is looking to add a Senior Cost Accountant to their growing team This position can be based out of Atlanta, GA , Marble Hill, GA , or Marble Falls, TX , with a hybrid schedule (3 days onsite) depending on your location. What You'll Be Doing: Lead the month-end cost accounting close, including journal entries and account reconciliations Analyze manufacturing variances and present meaningful insights to plant leadership Maintain and improve the standard cost environment while identifying opportunities for process improvements Partner closely with Plant Controllers, Operations, Engineering, and Plant Management to support financial performance Monitor inventory valuation, including raw materials, WIP, finished goods, and inventory reserves Assist with annual budgets, monthly forecasts, and capital expenditure projects Support physical inventory counts, internal controls, and audit preparation Work with Bills of Materials (BOMs), routings, and production data to ensure accurate product costing What We're Looking For: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance 4-7 years of cost accounting experience within a manufacturing environment Strong experience with: Cost accounting Standard costing Manufacturing variance analysis Inventory accounting Work in Process (WIP) Cost allocations Month-end close Experience partnering directly with plant operations or manufacturing leadership ERP experience is required; Oracle Process Manufacturing (OPM) is highly preferred but not required Why This Opportunity Stands Out: Competitive salary of $90K-$100K 5-10% annual bonus Profit sharing Opportunity to work alongside plant leadership and have a direct impact on business performance Excellent stability with a highly respected, long-established manufacturing organization Strong career growth potential within the organization #J-18808-Ljbffr Quest Financial
