Interventional Radiology Tech - Interventional Radiology


Job Details:


• Must be able to scrub and circulate basic, intermediate, and advanced IR procedures
• Work with GE and Siemens imaging equipment
• NIR experience preferred but not required
• Department staffed 24/7 with adult patients only (no pediatrics)
• Handle approximately 40-50 patients per day on average
• Perform general IR procedures including kyphoplasty/vertebroplasty, central line/piccs/ports, fistulograms, IVC filter, nephrostomy tubes, nephroureteral stents, peripheral leg cases, coil embolization, thoras/paras
• Support CT room procedures including cryos, CT biopsies, and drains
• AAA intervention experience preferred
• Neuro IR experience required for some procedures including strokes and embolization
• Required certifications: ARRT, BLS
• Wisconsin license required
• Skills required include scrubbing and panning simultaneously with general IR case experience
• Experience with charging/coding for procedures preferred but not required
• Work with Epic EMR system, Alaris IV pumps, Pyxis medication dispensing, and Change Healthcare PACS
• Equipment includes Siemens and GE equipment, MedRad injector, IVUS, ultrasound, laser, Bovie, and Angiojet
• 1-2 week orientation with preceptor and competency check-off
• Weekend call rotation required
• Weekday call shifts Monday-Thursday, typically 1 call shift per week from end of shift until 7:00 AM following day
• Weekend call every 5th weekend from end of shift Friday until Monday at 7:00 AM
• 30-minute response time for call
• General IR shift times: 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
• Neuro shift times: 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
• Manager flexible with scheduling options including four 10-hour shifts or combination schedules
• Scrubs provided

This comprehensive medical center is a Level III Trauma Center and Level III NICU with Magnet designation and Comprehensive Stroke Center accreditation. The facility operates 933 beds and maintains a robust interventional radiology department with 5 procedure rooms staffed around the clock. The department features advanced imaging technology and comprehensive support services including 24/7 respiratory therapy, hospitalist coverage, and dedicated coordinators and lead technologists to ensure optimal patient care.
