Registered Nurse - Operating Room

Job Description

Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced OR nurse to provide expert patient care in a high-volume surgical setting. The nurse will be responsible for scrubbing and circulating across various surgical specialties, ensuring safety and efficiency throughout procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Perform scrub and circulate duties in orthopedic, neuro, vascular, general, bariatric, ENT, maxillofacial, urology, GYN, and kidney transplant surgeries.
• Prepare and organize surgical instruments and supplies for diverse procedures.
• Assist surgeons and team members during surgeries, maintaining sterile technique and workflow.
• Monitor patient status and respond quickly to intraoperative needs, ensuring patient safety at all times.
• Document procedures accurately in the EPIC charting system and adhere to facility protocols.
• Adapt quickly to first-time cases and support multiple surgical specialties as needed.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active NY RN licensure and BLS certification.
• Demonstrate proficiency in EPIC charting system.
• Possess 3-5 years of OR experience with scrub and circulate skills.
• Be experienced in neuro, ortho, vascular, general, bariatric, ENT, urology, GYN, and kidney transplant surgeries.
• Able to work primarily on afternoon shifts and handle fast-paced surgical cases.
