About the Role:

The CNA/Transportation/Central Supply role is a multifaceted position that integrates patient care, logistical support, and supply management within a healthcare setting. The primary objective is to provide compassionate and efficient assistance to patients as a Certified Nursing Assistant, ensuring their comfort and safety during transportation within the facility. Additionally, the role involves managing the central supply inventory, ensuring that medical and operational supplies are adequately stocked, organized, and readily available to support clinical staff. This position requires strong coordination skills to facilitate smooth patient transfers and timely delivery of supplies, contributing to overall operational efficiency. Ultimately, the role supports the healthcare team by maintaining a safe, clean, and well-equipped environment that enhances patient care quality and staff productivity.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification recognized in the state of Texas.
• Valid Driver's License (Good Driving Record)
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic knowledge of patient care procedures and safety protocols.
• Ability to operate transportation equipment safely within a healthcare environment.
• Strong organizational skills to manage inventory and supply distribution.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in a hospital or clinical setting.
• Familiarity with healthcare supply chain management systems.
• Additional certifications related to patient transport or medical logistics.
• Proficiency in using inventory management software.
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare staff.

Responsibilities:

• Assist patients with mobility and transportation needs within the healthcare facility, ensuring their safety and comfort during transfers.
• Perform routine patient care tasks under the supervision of nursing staff, including hygiene assistance, vital signs monitoring, and basic patient support.
• Manage central supply inventory by receiving, organizing, and distributing medical and operational supplies to various departments.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of transportation equipment and supply storage areas to comply with health and safety standards.
• Collaborate with nursing, transportation, and supply chain teams to coordinate timely delivery of supplies and efficient patient movement.

Skills:

In this role, the required skills such as patient care techniques and safety awareness are applied daily to ensure patients are transported securely and comfortably. Organizational skills are essential for managing central supply inventory, tracking stock levels, and replenishing supplies to prevent shortages. Communication skills facilitate effective collaboration with nursing staff and other departments, ensuring seamless coordination of patient transport and supply delivery. Preferred skills like familiarity with inventory software enhance efficiency in supply management, reducing errors and improving response times.
