Registered Nurse - Medical/Surgical Unit

Location: Smyrna, TN

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Shift: 19:00 - 07:00

Job Description: We are seeking experienced Registered Nurses for our busy Medical/Surgical Unit. The unit features a total of 54 beds—including a dedicated orthopedic/spine unit. RNs will be responsible for a patient ratio of 1:5-6 and will work collaboratively within a team of RNs, LPNs, and PCTs to ensure excellent patient care.

Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality nursing care to medical-surgical patients, including orthopedic and spine patients.
• Conduct thorough assessments and implement appropriate care plans based on critical thinking and prioritization skills.
• Utilize advanced medical equipment such as Alaris pumps and remote telemetry.
• Document patient information accurately using Meditech.
• Support PCTs in patient care activities.
• Be flexible to float within the unit as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a Medical/Surgical nursing role.
• Active RN license in the state of Tennessee.
• BLS certification required; ACLS certification is optional.
• Strong assessment, time management, and organization skills.
