Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Assisted Living

A well-established assisted living organization on Staten Island is seeking a compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join its team. This is an excellent opportunity for an LPN looking to enjoy a consistent weekday schedule while providing high-quality care in a supportive assisted living environment. Unlike the fast pace of an acute care hospital, this role offers the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with residents while working in a more predictable and less stressful setting.

Compensation: $40.00/hour + $5,000 Sign-On Bonus

Qualifications

• Current New York State LPN license
• CHHA experience preferred
• Home care experience is a plus
• Strong clinical assessment and nursing skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Basic computer skills, including Outlook, Microsoft Word, printing, and scanning

Key Duties

• Provide skilled nursing care and medication administration to assisted living residents.
• Monitor residents' health status, document assessments, and communicate changes to the interdisciplinary care team.
• Collaborate with physicians, caregivers, and staff to ensure high-quality, resident-centered care.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure compliance with regulatory and organizational standards.
• Educate residents and families on health-related needs while promoting resident safety and independence.

Requirements

• Required: Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program.

Licenses & Certifications

• Required: Active New York State Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license.
• Preferred: CHHA experience.
• Home Care experience is a plus.

Skills

• Strong clinical assessment and patient care skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and basic office applications, including printing and scanning.
