Job Overview Registered Nurse – Day Shift at Mary Free Bed at Covenant in the United States. The role is a full‑time position that provides inpatient rehabilitation nursing care to patients of all ages. Schedule & Compensation 36 hours per week, 7AM – 7PM, Day shift. Starting pay $32.05 per hour, with rate increases based on experience. $12,000 sign‑on bonus available. Core Responsibilities Provide comprehensive nursing care, develop and follow patient‑centered plans of care, and coordinate services with interdisciplinary teams. Delegate and supervise non‑licensed staff to ensure adherence to departmental policies. Engage in quality improvement activities, including identifying opportunities for improvement, reporting unexpected events or medical errors, and participating in data collection and audits. Promote patient safety by implementing safety protocols and reporting near‑miss events without fear of retaliation. Deliver excellent customer service to patients, families, physicians, and colleagues; address confidential information sensitively and resolve conflicts discreetly. Maintain professional relationships with physicians and other disciplines to support patient‑centered care. Demonstrate employee competency by meeting regulatory and accreditation standards, and contribute to a culture of professionalism, respect, and accountability. Participate in employee selection, orientation, and preceptorship activities as directed by leadership. Adhere to fiscal responsibility by following policies on payroll, chargeable items, and cost‑saving initiatives. Age‑Specific Responsibility Provide age‑appropriate care, applying knowledge of developmental principles and assessing data to meet patients’ age‑specific needs. Essential Job Qualifications Licensure : Registered Nurse in the state of Michigan. Education : Associate’s degree in nursing required; Bachelor’s degree preferred. Certification : Registered Rehabilitation Nurse preferred and encouraged. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. Experience : Prior RN experience in rehabilitation or acute care preferred but not required. Skills : Strong critical thinking, decision‑making, delegation, leadership, time‑management, organizational abilities, and clear written and verbal communication. Must work effectively under time constraints, handle interruptions, and prioritize tasks. Physical Demands / Work Environment The RN must stand, walk, bend, kneel, and perform patient positioning. Tasks may require exerting 20–35 pounds of force occasionally or more frequently.
