Navy Program Manager

Global manufacturer specializing in highly engineered, complex and severe environment products that serve long-term, high growth infrastructure markets and aerospace & defense is looking for a Program Manager with Naval Experience in Warren, MA. The organization is looking for a strong leader with experience aboard Nuclear Powered Aircraft Carriers or Submarines and is mechanically inclined. Experience with Fluid Mechanics, Valves and Pumps will be critical to success in this role.

Location: Tampa, FL

Compensation: $100-115k base

The Program Manager supports all aspects of the Defense customer contract management from initial RFQ/RFP thru to product delivery and final invoicing. This critical position will work closely with account managers, Engineering, Operations & other departments to provide support and guidance to assure that contracts are completed on schedule and budget. This position is the primary customer program management representative for large multiyear contracts and major new product programs.

Principal Activities

Responsible for integrated program schedules, data integration, tracking of quality performance, and implementation of corrective actions covering all areas of program responsibility. Addresses critical issues on complex programs and leads the team to develop action plans to improve performance.

Conduct regular team project status reviews for individual

Revise project metrics and refocus teams as necessary to ensure project requirements are met.

Lead project gate reviews in line with project timing and internal NPI process requirements with a focus on contract/on-time delivery.

Assist account managers with large proposal preparation and Assure proposals are compliant per company policy & delivered on time to the customer.

Coordinate program reviews with the customer

Review new contracts and modifications, prepare detail instructions for order entry and assure other departments (QA & Engineering) complete their reviews in a timely manner.

Manage customer spend plans and milestone payments to maximize advance payments reducing working capital requirements.

Provide report updates twice yearly via the eSRS reporting system online. Support account managers with small business proposal documents and reports.

Manage and suggest remedy of all disputes
