Med Tech

Location: 3498 Harbor‑Petoskey Road, Harbor Springs, MI Position: Full Time Med Tech Pineview Cottage is seeking compassionate and experienced Med Techs to join our caring team. In addition to providing exceptional care for residents, Med Techs will administer medication and provide leadership within our community. A $1,000 sign‑on bonus is available. Responsibilities Administer medication to residents based on medical orders and document the administration while restocking medication carts. Participate in shift change meetings to communicate residents’ status or special needs to incoming associates. Act as shift supervisor to ensure resident care needs are properly met. Assist caregivers during shifts with transfers and other duties as necessary. Work with physicians and pharmacy to ensure medications are ordered correctly. Report changes in resident medical conditions and behaviors to physicians, families, and community leadership. Communicate with multiple levels outside the organization, including residents, families, caregivers, wellness coordinators, resident care director, wellness nurses, pharmacists, and physicians. Provide emotional support by treating residents with respect, dignity and maintaining a positive and cheerful appearance. Promote safety and well‑being of residents through written and verbal procedures, safety equipment and awareness of potential dangers. Assist with all other duties assigned by the wellness coordinator and community leadership. Qualifications Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Good command of English, both oral and written. Ability to interact socially and perform under pressure. Ability to maintain positive and professional interactions with residents and families at all times. Good planning and organization skills. Experience with Microsoft programs and/or other applicable software programs and basic computer skills. High school diploma or GED required.
