The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience. Job Overview Organize and administers individualized age-specific professional care to patients within an assigned unit of the hospital in support of medical care. Supports philosophy, objectives and the mission and vision of Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center and the Department of Nursing, Practices in accordance with the State Nurse Practice Act, American Nurses Association Standards of Practice, Code of Ethics for Nurses, Department of Health Regulations, TJC requirements and other regulatory agencies. Participates in patient teaching and discharge planning. Participates in Unit Performance Improvement evaluation activities, Qualifications Required Graduated from an accredited school of nursing Successful completion of all Orientation Programs Preferred Baccalaureate Degree in Nursingor currently matriculating 3+ years of Nursing Experience in an acute care setting Certifications and Licenses Required Current Registered Nurse License in the state of New Jersey Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association upon hire Scheduling Requirements Full-Time 7p - 8a 37.5 hrs. weekly 12.5 hrs shifts Every other weekend required Schedule during the week will vary depending on department needs Other Duties Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.Duties, responsibilities and activities may change at any time with or without notice.
