Residential Supervisor

Residential Supervisor Acenda Integrated Health offers more than 100 behavioral health programs, including mental health services, crisis care, substance use recovery, family therapy, maternal and pediatric support, and residential programs across New Jersey. The Residential Supervisor will oversee staff and operations in the Adult Residential Service Program, which supports adults with severe mental illness in a safe, recovery‑oriented environment. Program Overview The Adult Residential Service Program provides a continuum of affordable housing for the acutely and chronically mentally ill, with the goal of preventing psychiatric hospitalization, ensuring safety, and promoting personal growth. Key Responsibilities Directly oversee a team of 4 or more Residential Counselors, providing regular supervision, performance evaluations, coaching, and professional development. Ensure staff attendance at all meetings and trainings, and oversee scheduling to maintain adequate program coverage. Serve as the primary point of contact for staff concerns, participate in on‑call coverage, and provide after‑hours guidance. Review and ensure completion of treatment plans, assessments, and all documentation in compliance with agency and regulatory standards. Attend and contribute to agency and program meetings as assigned. Promote a trauma‑informed, person‑centered approach across all program services. Maintain compliance with financial and operational standards. Communicate consistently with nursing, care managers, and the Program Director to support continuous care. Ensure resident safety through direct oversight of staff practices and program routines. Support staff in promoting independent living skills and community reintegration for residents. Conduct walkthroughs of homes to ensure cleanliness, safety, and program compliance. Uphold resident confidentiality at all times and perform other duties as assigned. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Human Services, Psychology, or a related field (preferred), or equivalent combination of education and supervisory experience. Minimum of 4 years of experience in a residential, behavioral health, or community‑based setting. Prior supervisory or leadership experience. Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record. Ability to exercise sound judgment, independent thinking, and effective decision‑making in all circumstances, including crisis situations. Strong organizational skills, including the ability to analyze work, set goals, develop plans, and manage time effectively. Proficiency in maintaining accurate documentation and utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems (preferred). Ability to demonstrate professional boundaries, ethical practice, and cultural competence in all interactions.
