Location: Belleville, MI
Experience Required: 5+ years

We are seeking an experienced Die Maker with at least 5+ years of hands-on experience in die building, repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting. This role reports to the work location in Belleville, MI and requires strong technical knowledge of tool and die manufacturing , precision machining , and metal stamping dies .

The ideal candidate will have proven experience working with complex dies, reading blueprints, performing accurate measurements, and supporting production needs in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Build, repair, maintain, and troubleshoot dies , tooling , and fixtures used in manufacturing operations.
• Perform die maintenance , die repair , and adjustments to ensure quality production output.
• Read and interpret blueprints , engineering drawings , and technical specifications.
• Operate and use manual machining equipment , precision tools, and measuring instruments.
• Diagnose issues with stamping dies , tooling components, and production equipment.
• Perform fitting, grinding, polishing, assembly, and inspection of die components.
• Work closely with production and quality teams to resolve tooling-related issues.
• Maintain safe work practices and follow established manufacturing procedures.
• Support continuous improvement efforts related to tooling performance, downtime reduction, and part quality.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of experience as a Die Maker or in a closely related tool and die role.
• Strong experience with die building , die repair , die maintenance , and troubleshooting.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints , schematics , and engineering drawings .
• Knowledge of metal stamping , tooling , precision machining , and die components.
• Experience using micrometers , calipers , gauges, and other precision measuring tools .
• Ability to work independently and solve mechanical and tooling problems.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and quality workmanship.
• Prior experience in a manufacturing, automotive, or industrial production environment preferred.
• Must be able to report to the Belleville, MI work location.
