Key Responsibilities of the Pediatric Emergency Room RN:
Provide emergency nursing care to infants, children, and adolescents with a wide range of acute illnesses and injuries
Perform rapid patient assessments, triage, and prioritization of care
Administer medications, IV therapies, and emergency treatments as prescribed
Monitor patient conditions and respond quickly to changes in status
Assist with trauma care, resuscitations, and emergency procedures
Collaborate with pediatric physicians, specialists, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams
Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, discharge instructions, and follow-up care
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments and interventions

Requirements:
Minimum 2 years of recent Pediatric Emergency Room RN experience
Active New York RN license required
BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
TNCC preferred
Strong pediatric assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
Ability to work rotating day, evening, and night shifts in a fast-paced emergency environment
