This state hospital provides specialized inpatient psychiatric services for adults with serious mental illness and forensic cases. The facility maintains a comprehensive treatment environment with a census of 297 patients and focuses on long-term psychiatric care for complex cases including court-ordered individuals and dual diagnosis patients.

The psychiatrist will provide comprehensive psychiatric care to adult patients with serious mental illness in an inpatient state hospital environment. Daily responsibilities include managing treatment for a census of 297 patients including SMI population, forensic psychiatry cases, court-ordered individuals, dual diagnosis, and NGRI patients. The clinician will conduct psychiatric evaluations, develop treatment plans, and provide ongoing medication management in a long-term care setting. Board certification is required with full-time 40-hour weekly commitment and no call responsibilities associated with this position.
