We are seeking compassionate, skilled, and collaborat ive Speech-Language Pathologists (S LPs to support students with speech and language impairments. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by helping students develop the communication skills necessary for success in the classroom and beyond. Position Summary The Speech-Language Pathologist is responsible for screening, evaluating, and providing speech-language therapy services to students with identified speech-language impairments. The SLP collaborates with educators, administrators, families, and other specialists to ensure students receive appropriate services in compliance with federal, state, and district guidelines. Minimum Qualifications License and Certification Qualifications Georgia: Speech-Language Pathology License and/or Georgia Teaching Certificate (Required) Valid Georgia Driver's License (Required) Education Qualifications Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology (Required) Experience Qualifications Professional work experience in speech-language pathology (Preferred) Skills and Qualifications The successful candidate will demonstrate: Thorough knowledge of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) and due process requirements. Extensive knowledge and skill in conducting and interpreting comprehensive speech-language evaluations. Extensive knowledge and skill in providing effective speech-language therapy services. Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, administrators, and parents regarding speech-language disorders and student progress. Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to plan and deliver speech-language services. Ability to develop and deliver professional learning and staff development activities. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to project and promote positive attitudes and productive relationships. Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Student Identification and Evaluation: Identify students with educationally significant speech and language disorders. Participate in the Response to Intervention (RTI) process for students suspected of having language disorders. Receive referrals from the Student Support Team (SST) following the RTI process initiated by school staff, parents, or students. Conduct comprehensive speech-language evaluations for all referred students. Interpret assessment results and communicate findings to educational teams and families in compliance with Special Education regulations. Complete all required due process documentation associated with referrals, evaluations, eligibility determinations, placement decisions, and ongoing service delivery. Maintain accurate records in accordance with federal, state, and district regulations. Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team meetings as required. Ensure compliance with IDEA and district special education procedures. Direct Therapy Services: Provide evidence-based speech-language intervention services to students with identified speech-language impairments. Deliver therapy addressing articulation, language, fluency, voice, and other communication disorders. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with student IEP goals. Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as appropriate to maximize student outcomes. Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with teachers, administrators, psychologists, special education staff, and related service providers to support student success. Consult with school personnel to develop effective classroom accommodations and communication strategies. Communicate regularly and effectively with parents regarding student needs, progress, and strategies for continued growth. Support school-based teams in creating inclusive learning environments for students with communication disorders. Professional Responsibilities Participate in professional learning activities and remain current with best practices in the field of speech-language pathology. Provide staff development and consultation to school personnel as needed. Perform other duties as assigned.
