Aurora Store Manager – Seasonal Christmas Market
$25–$28/hour | Aurora, IL | Sept. 21–Dec. 26
Käthe Wohlfahrt of America is bringing the magic of a traditional German Christmas market to Aurora, and we're looking for an experienced retail leader to manage our seasonal Christmas Village store.
This is a hands-on Store Manager position with responsibility for hiring and leading the seasonal team, delivering exceptional customer service, maintaining our distinctive visual merchandising standards, and overseeing the day-to-day operation of the store.
What you'll do
Recruit, hire, train and lead seasonal store staff
Coach the team to deliver exceptional customer service
Manage scheduling and payroll within budget
Oversee daily store operations, receiving and inventory
Maintain visual merchandising and presentation standards
Resolve customer service issues
Build an engaged, motivated team through regular communication and recognition
What we're looking for
Retail management or supervisory experience; 2–5 years preferred
Strong leadership, communication and organizational skills
Comfortable managing a fast-paced seasonal retail environment
Availability for weekends, evenings and holidays during the market season
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.; team lift up to 50 lbs.
Schedule & season
Part-time from approximately Sept. 21–Nov. 10 , transitioning to full-time (up to 40 hours/week) Nov. 10–Dec. 26 .
The market is open Thursday–Sunday, with extended Friday and Saturday evening hours.
