Director of Finance

Overview We are seeking a Director of Finance for a luxury resort in the Caribbean. This is a senior on-site leadership role responsible for all aspects of the property's financial operations, reporting directly to the General Manager. The right candidate brings strong hospitality finance expertise, a proactive mindset, and the ability to partner effectively with both property leadership and ownership. Responsibilities Oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of financial controls and accounting procedures in line with GAAP and local legal requirements Provide accurate and timely financial information to support effective decision-making across the leadership team Lead the preparation of financial reports, budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses, with actionable recommendations Identify opportunities to improve hotel profitability and implement process improvements across financial systems Manage cash funds, assets, credit and collections policy, and ensure robust controls to protect property assets Oversee internal and external audits and coordinate statutory account preparation and filing Lead, develop, and evaluate the finance team to ensure professional growth and continuity Ensure adequate insurance coverage and compliance with management contract requirements Qualifications Minimum 3 years of senior financial leadership experience in luxury hospitality Proven track record in financial operations including budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and analysis Strong knowledge of financial regulations, GAAP, compliance, and internal controls Excellent leadership skills with experience building and mentoring a finance team Proficiency in Excel and hospitality financial systems; experience with Opera, Sun, or similar platforms is an advantage Must have Caribbean experience Fluent in English, written and spoken Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration; Master’s degree or MBA preferred What\'s Offered Salary of competitive Housing provided Relocation assistance Company-funded health benefits plan Annual home leave Learning, development, and career progression opportunities Retirement plan benefits #J-18808-Ljbffr
