Specialized Recruiting Group is seeking a detail-oriented Buyer to support purchasing, sourcing, pricing, and inventory activities for a manufacturing company in City of Monrovia, CA. This role ensures materials are purchased efficiently, delivered on time, and aligned with production requirements.

The Buyer will partner closely with Production, Shipping, Sales, and Quality teams to support daily operations, resolve supply issues, and maintain accurate purchasing documentation.

The ideal candidate brings purchasing or supply chain experience in a manufacturing environment, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.

Pay Rate: $28.00–$28.00/hr

Key Responsibilities:

• Purchase materials from approved suppliers at the best price while meeting quality, quantity, and delivery requirements
• Coordinate procurement activities including delivery tracking and material quality follow-up
• Prepare and process purchase orders following established procedures
• Verify supplier approval, material specifications, and required documentation
• Update MRP system and maintain mill certifications and product specifications
• Support inter-company transfer of excess materials under direction of Senior Buyer/Production Control Manager
• Communicate with internal teams (Shipping, Sales, Quality) to support material needs and resolve issues
• Request and evaluate supplier quotes to ensure cost-effective purchasing decisions and compliance with vendor agreements
• Monitor inventory levels and identify shortages using MRP systems and planning spreadsheets
• Manage supplier performance reviews and track corrective actions
• Support scrap sales process including bid coordination, documentation, and tracking

Skills & Knowledge:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; 5–7 years of related experience preferred
• Strong ability to read and interpret instructions, memos, and basic reports
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Basic math skills including calculations, rates, ratios, and percentages
• Ability to analyze data and interpret simple charts/graphs
• Strong problem-solving skills in structured manufacturing environments
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MRP systems
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
