Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an ICU position requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and Epic proficiency, working night shifts on a 12-week travel contract.

Details

• ICU setting within a hospital environment
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:30)
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Floating within the facility and scope of practice as needed
• Epic EMR used; experience is required

Requirements

• Active GA or Compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of ICU nursing experience required
• Epic EMR experience required (hard requirement — no exceptions)
• Current certifications must be provided at time of consideration

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Local candidates are accepted
• RTO maximum of 7 days; RTO cannot be requested during the first week of the assignment
• If one or two major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work all of them with no holiday RTO permitted; if three major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work two, with one holiday RTO request eligible for review
• Major holidays include: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday (counted as one), Christmas Eve/Christmas Day (counted as one), and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day (counted as one)
• Travelers must have been away from all facilities within this health system for a full year before returning as a traveler
• No alternate shifts or special scheduling requests are permitted; the posted shift is firm
• Travel pairs may not be assigned to the same shift on the same unit
• Full compliance with onboarding requirements is required to start on time; delays may result in a two-week pushback due to a bi-weekly orientation schedule
