Job PostingUnder minimal supervision, set up, tend, and operate manually controlled lathe, drill press, vertical mill and/or swaging machines.ResponsibilitiesRead and interpret blueprintsUse gauges and measuring instruments to meet tolerance requirementsUses precision tools, machinery and equipment such as lathe, vertical milling machine and drill pressProperly select, align, secure and remove holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments and materials onto machinesPerform inspection of machined products (including documentation of results)Complete and maintain paperwork for partsPerform basic troubleshooting as requiredUtilize and abide by ISO requirements, regulations and instructionsMust also comply with quality policies, specs and other instructionsPerform all other duties, as assignedJob RequirementsMust be able to stand, walk (on concrete surfaces), bend, kneel, crouch, twist, and lift to perform repetitive movementsMust be able to lift/push/pull objects up to 35 pounds, heavier objects require assistanceAbility to adhere to safety policiesMust be able to use computer to enter dataStrong attention to detailMust have working command of the English language and be able to communicate orally and in writing (basic oral instructions, simple written memos and instructions)Must be able to read and interpret drawings, use simple math to perform basic calculations and use basic hand held measuring toolsEducation and ExperienceHigh School Diploma or GED RequiredCertification from Technical School a plus1-3 years Machine Experience (lathe, drill press, vertical mill etc.) a plusRBC Bearings is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
