Required Skills:

• Active New Mexico medical license and NM DEA certification
• Board Certified or Board Eligible within 3-5 years of residency
• Proven experience in orthopedic surgical procedures, including those listed in the practice description
• Excellent clinical judgment and patient management skills
• Ability to work independently and remotely, with 24-hour on-call availability

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience with hospital privileging and payor credentialing processes
• Familiarity with the Patient Compensation Fund (PCF) enrollment requirements in NM
• Prior experience in light caseload settings with light volume volume
• Strong communication and teamwork skills that facilitate seamless patient care

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
• Completed orthopedic surgery residency program
• At least 1-3 years of post-residency clinical practice in orthopedics

Other Requirements:

• Willingness to undergo hospital privileging and payor credentialing (processing time approximately 90 days)
• Ability to submit case logs from the past 24 months promptly upon request
• Availability for work during flexible shift times, primarily from 7 am to 7 pm, with an expectation of 24-hour beeper call coverage (onsite not required)
• Enrollment in the Patient Compensation Fund (PCF) required by New Mexico law; agency will provide coverage
