As our Assistant Branch Manager, your mission is to support the Branch Manager in leading daily branch performance while coordinating operating priorities, customer needs, financial activities, and people leadership. You will help connect strategy to execution and provide leadership coverage across the branch.

What You Will Do

Daily Branch Leadership

• Coordinate priorities across operations, service, transportation, and sales support.
• Provide leadership coverage and decision support when the Branch Manager is unavailable.
• Monitor workflow, staffing needs, and customer commitments and resolve barriers promptly.

Financial & Administrative Support

• Assist with branch planning, operating reviews, purchasing, payables, receivables, and collections.
• Review branch records and transactions for accuracy, timeliness, and compliance.
• Support expense control, asset stewardship, and performance improvement activities.

Customer & Team Support

• Help resolve customer issues and maintain strong internal and external relationships.
• Coach managers and employees, reinforce expectations, and support development plans.
• Promote clear communication and teamwork across branch functions.

Safety & Compliance

• Reinforce safety, environmental, quality, and operating requirements.
• Support incident follow-up, corrective action, audits, and recordkeeping.
• Model accountability and visible leadership in daily operations.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent branch, operations, or rental experience.
• Strong operational judgment and ability to coordinate multiple work streams.
• 5+ years of progressive experience in branch operations, equipment rental, logistics, customer service, sales support, service operations, or a related industrial environment.
• Clear communication, coaching, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively with employees, customers, vendors, and leaders.
• Possess or be able to obtain and maintain a valid TWIC card.
• Moderately clean driving record

Job Location

This position is based at NTE's Midland Branch Location. Travel requirement: Local travel as needed; DOT physical when assigned applicable company vehicles.
