• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <60 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• No current placement allowed at Program: RightSourcing Program - UNC Health.

Additional Details:

Unit Details: - Adult-focused population: 95% adult, 5% pediatric/neonate. - Coverage includes ICU, telemetry, med-surg, and ED. - Equipment includes G5 Hamilton vent, Bellavista, and NPPV. - Respiratory care includes aerosol medication delivery, basic bedside pulmonary function testing, breathing exercises, oxygen therapy, arterial cannulation and arterial punctures, airway management, aspiration of established airways, tracheostomy care, tracheostomy tube changes, endotracheal intubations and extubations. - May perform pulmonary function testing and all aspects of ventilator care, including ventilator setup, verification of function, specialized ventilator modes, patient monitoring, and weaning techniques. - When working with Carolina Air Care, may transport pediatric and neonatal patients from referral hospitals and perform advanced practice procedures including UAC, UVC, IV insertion, chest tube insertion, needle decompression, ABGs, and blood glucose monitoring. - When working with ECMO, may manage extracorporeal circulation for cardiac and respiratory support.

Shift & Scheduling: - No call. - Weekend requirement: 5 weekend days per 6-week schedule. - Holidays required.
