Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A clinical pharmacist position is available for a direct hire in the Silver Spring, MD area, ideal for a professional dedicated to delivering patient-centered pharmaceutical care. In this role, you will apply your expertise to ensure optimal medication therapy outcomes through clinical consultation and collaborative practice with healthcare providers.
Location: Silver Spring, MD
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday, Pharmacy hours 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM
- Saturday 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM
- Sunday 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM
- Approximately 40 hours per week, with some variability
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive medication therapy reviews and provide clinical consultations
- Manage formulary and contribute to disease state management programs
- Perform drug utilization evaluations to optimize therapy and patient safety
- Educate patients and healthcare providers on medication use and best practices
- Lead Pharmacy & Therapeutics (P&T) committee meetings
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and support quality assurance initiatives
- Build and maintain effective relationships with clients and healthcare teams
- Participate in administrative meetings and occasional travel to client sites
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Pharm.D. degree required
- Active pharmacist license; Maryland license preferred
- At least one year of postgraduate residency training preferred
- Board certifications such as BCPS, BCACP, or experience in HIV therapy management are highly valued
- CPR certification preferred
- Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and strategic-thinking abilities
- Proven ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary healthcare teams
