Account Representative, Employee Benefits

Employee Benefit Account Representative Employees in this role manage a book of employee‑benefits business for small‑group clients, providing day‑to‑day service, account management, claims support, and strategic planning to enhance client satisfaction and retention. Responsibilities Manage client relationships and deliver all project activities from strategic planning and stewardship reports to renewal, marketing, open enrollment, and special projects. Handle claims and coverage issue resolution for clients’ employees when escalated from HR or Hub International’s My Benefits Champion call center. Assist with clients’ billing and eligibility audits; conduct audits independently when required. Advise and guide clients on compliance matters. Develop and deliver open‑enrollment presentations in Microsoft PowerPoint; conduct benefits webinars and/or record Brainshark presentations for employees and HR managers. Create employee‑benefit booklets in conjunction with the C&D Team using Microsoft Publisher. Facilitate preparation of open‑enrollment packets, including SBCs and disclosure notices. Collaborate with Marketing on distribution of My Benefits Champion communication materials and communicate utilization trends to clients. Manage new carrier, plan, or vendor implementation, including benefits administration system build‑out and project management. Perform contract review and facilitate preparation of SPD wraps, cafeteria, and POP plan documents. Prepare master group files, client contact sheets, and maintain carrier files. Lead the client RFP process from development and distribution through follow‑up, analysis, and presentation, with a focus on financial reporting. Support the Account Executive in strategy and execution. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree preferred. 3–5 years of related experience as an Account Representative and/or Benefits Analyst in the employee‑benefits arena, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must hold or be able to obtain a valid CA Life Agent license. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Strong written communication skills; ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Strong verbal communication skills; ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees. Bilingual in English and Spanish is a big plus. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); knowledge of project‑management and database software is preferred. Demonstrated teamwork, initiative, quality management, and project‑management abilities. Benefits Competitive salary range of $70,000 – $80,000, dependent on geographic location.
