Payroll Clerk

Job Overview Metrocast Cable Systems, a leading telecommunications provider in the northeastern United States, is seeking a meticulous and organised Payroll Clerk to join our team. This is a Full-Time position based in our office in Quincy, Massachusetts, United States. The successful candidate will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of our company payroll, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. This role is crucial for maintaining the financial well-being of our employees and requires a high degree of precision and confidentiality. Responsibilities Accurately process company payrolls on a weekly or bi-weekly basis. Calculate wages, overtime, and deductions to ensure correct payments. Review and verify timesheets and other payroll-related documents for accuracy. Update and maintain employee payroll records, including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates or personal information. Prepare and submit payroll reports to management. Address and resolve any payroll-related enquiries or discrepancies from employees in a professional and timely manner. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local payroll and tax regulations. Assist the finance department with ad-hoc tasks and reporting as required. Qualifications Proven experience working as a Payroll Clerk or in a similar financial role. A strong understanding of fundamental accounting principles and payroll best practices. Excellent numerical skills and exceptional attention to detail. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly with Excel. Strong organisational and time-management abilities, with a proven capacity to meet deadlines. The ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Experience with payroll software is highly desirable. Benefits A competitive hourly wage of $25.00 - $35.00 USD, dependent on experience.
